Aliya Mooney is a multi-disciplinary artist, designer, and photographer. When founding Hearthstone, she sought to combine her love for people with her affinity for creative challenges by opening herself up to freelance opportunities.
Throughout her career, Aliya has collaborated on in-house teams, worked directly with independent creatives, has thrived in fast-paced agency settings, and has provided teams and individuals with photography and design services for eight years. Her clients represent a wide variety of industries, including photography, mural art, coffee roasting, winter and collegiate sports, higher education, legal services, and more.
Born and raised in the great state of Idaho, Aliya grew up appreciating time spent outdoors through a multitude of hobbies, ranging from downhill skiing to sunset-soaked country drives. She is now based in the Phoenix metro area and enjoys exploring new landscapes and drawing inspiration from her travels and adventures outdoors.

Design
We have a background in a variety of types of design (marketing, illustration, packaging, etc.), but brand design is what sets our soul on fire.
We draw inspiration from natural shapes, colors, and environments. We love incorporating clever nods to brands’ histories and stories through their visual assets. Most of all, Hearthstone prides itself on being detail-oriented and intentional with its design choices to bring our clients the best possible products we can.

For freelance/white label work, we can offer design support at an hourly rate, priced depending on the project.

We host all meetings remotely through Google Meets and Zoom. However, if a client is in the Phoenix area (or we're ever traveling to where you are based), we would love to meet in person!

PHOTOGRAPHY
We have over eight years of professional photography experience. We’ve shot just about all of it — seniors, weddings, sports, live events, and now brands.
Our editing style tends to be warmer, but still true-to-color. We work with naturally lit environments and studios and are pros at guiding our clients to pose in ways that look and feel natural.
We love getting to combine our passion for brand story-telling with artistic photography that feels timeless and cohesive.

We understand that for some business owners, specifically photographers and videographers, it’s important to maintain a specific editing style for imagery throughout websites, socials, etc.
While our packages include a fully edited gallery, we do offer buy-out fee for the RAW images produced during a shoot. Please contact us for more information. -
We are based in Chandler, Arizona and are willing to travel for a shoot anywhere within an hour radius at no additional cost.

We provide a list of studios we recommend for clients to use in the Phoenix area (prices vary). However, if there is a specific vision you have for your shoot (studio or outdoor), we would love to work with you to bring that to life.
Part of the strategic planning of the shoot includes selecting an environment that fits your brand, so please communicate with us if you have a location in mind.
